Race Entrants & Results 1952
With Alfa’s withdrawal and BRM’s unreliability,
race organizers had little option but to turn to the existing F2 category for
closer racing. FIA agreed to move the World Championship to this formula, which
at the time consisted of 2-litre unblown and 750 cc supercharged. This would
provide larger entries and prepare teams for the forthcoming 2.5-litre formula.
Ferrari remained favourites, especially as their main opponent, Maserati,
weakened by the absence of Fangio, seriously injured at

Модель «500» была разработана под руководством главного конструктора Аурелио
Лампреди за три месяца. Четырёхцилиндровый двигатель объёмом 1985 см3
развивал мощность
Чемпионом мира с большим преимуществом стал Альберто Аскари.
