Principal: Walter Wolf. Base: Reading, Berkshire. Founded: 1975.Canadian oil buisinessman, Walter Wolf financed the Williams Formula 1 operation in 1976. Disappointed, he bought out Williams and set up his own Walter Wolf Racing. The new car was an instant success, winning first time out. After a great first season, the team faded quickly and by the end of 1979 had withdrawn from racing completely.
